Habring2 Doppel 38
38.5 mm (bezel 41 mm) x 11.5 mm (excluding crystal), 16.4 fathoms WR
Further information from Maria Habring:
The Doppel 38 shares it’s case concept with the Smart-Felix (..)

The idea of the “flange” or “lip-bezel” was to keep the visible dial size (36mm) of the 42mm while shrinking the case (and it’s wearability) to the 38,5mm.

This enhancement allows us to add f.i. a date or GMT-indication on the Chrono-Felix without changing it’s wearability for smaller wrists; at the Doppel 38 the space of the additional dial ring is used for the more detailed seconds scale though.

While both – Doppel 38 and Smart-Felix – sharing most components like dials/hands and most of the case components with the Chrono-Felix, the crystal, the bezel and the dial ring are completely new parts)

7400EUR (outside of Europe, not counting taxes), 12600 gumnuts including GST (like all AUD prices are)

Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Starwheel
41 x 10.7mm white gold and ceramic case, 16.4 fathoms WR
Did Rob perhaps see any starwheels at the AP SAV? Shoutout to AP-loving Rob
48000 CHF (83000 gumnuts)
Farer Moonphase
38.5mm, 43.8mm lug to lug
Moon is hand-painted (hand applied?) in Geneva using grade OL X1 Super-LumiNova. Isn’t all lume hand applied? Are they going after Sarpaneva? Sellita SW216-1 elaboré movement does the elaboré grade make it worth showing off? One-upping Pateks clous de paris on the side on the side of the case by putting a garlic grater on the side.

Garlic grater
Suggested by jacot tool master in training Pippy because Rob loves a moonphase.
1475GBP pre-order (2850 gumnuts)
Farasute jump hour 2214
38mm (most likely wide, so sized like a modern bloated large Cartier) Case Thicknee:10mm, 16.4 fathoms WR
Super fan numero uno Pippys thoughts: I could buy a vintage one for less???? and then its name wouldn’t sound like parasite ????
329USD (502 gumnuts)

Bamford x Thomas Pink Automatic Titanium GMT
40mm × 11.7mm titanium case, 54 fathoms WR
Bamfords The Hive is less than a mile away from Jermyn street yet this watch could not be further away from the elegance associated with Jermyn street and its (former) businesses. Attached audio file to remind how far the watch is from quality handcraft which this collaboration attempts to associate itself with, and how Georgieboys tone on the origin has changed.
Limited to 30 in white and 30 in black, 1700GBP (3400 gumnuts)

All the other shit

Mido x Hodinkee Ocean Star GMT
40.5 x 13mm stainless steel case, 109.4 fathoms WR
Does a “Swiss Made” entry level GMT make all that much sense with parts made in Asia when you can get a Seiko NH34 powered microbrand watch for literally $1000 less?
1390USD (2300 gumnuts)

Omega x Swatch Mission to Moonshine
42mm melted down wheely bin with rancid cooking oil case, 16.4 fathoms WR
Recycled moonshine gold plated seconds hand that some poor Swatch employee had to work overtime on a Sunday to make if the tale about “made during the full moon” is to be believed.
Limited to “probably not enough”, only available in the London, Milan, Zürich, and Tokyo Swatch boutiques, 275CHF (477 gumnuts)

Roger Dubuis Excalibur Liu Wei Monotourbillon
42 mm titanium case, 54 fathoms WR

Rob’s correction corner (nothing to do with Rob this time either)
Alex, 0.2% BAC is not “nothing”, 0.35% is lethal.
